There is plenty to do in this part of Koh Samui if you get tired of floating in the pool gazing at the fabulous view or lazing around on the stunning local beaches. There are numerous and varied restaurants, fishing villages, street markets and shops, and don’t miss a trip to the Ice Bar to cool down.

Amera is only minutes from fabulous sandy beaches and close to the world renowned Four Seasons Resort, Angthong National Marine Park (made famous by the book “The Beach” and the film of the same name starring Leonardo di Caprio), the Santiburi Golf & Country Club & Spa and the glamorous Nikki Beach Club. You can experience the hustle and bustle of local life and the fabulous Thai cuisine in the nearby fishing villages.

Water based activities include scuba diving and snorkelling in crystal clear waters, sailing, jet-ski, windsurfing, kayaking and fishing. Maybe a round of golf followed by a spa treatment? Or visit the Angthong National Marine Park, trek through the jungle interior by elephant, and search out temples and waterfalls. The island of Koh Samui is both beautiful and fascinating.

The Passage hotel is a great place to lie on the beach or by their pool – they welcome all guests and have an excellent restaurant.

Tesco’s is in Nathon about seven minutes drive from the villa. You will also find some lovely restaurants there (try the Lucky restaurant for a nice breakfast – the owner Steve is a very nice guy from Liverpool).
